We can’t let this go any further.

You would treat me good, we both know,

But we have different points of view.

No matter my love for you,

I’m afraid I gotta let you go.

It’s a lie to say I won’t miss you.

I’ll still think what could have been.

But deep inside, we already knew

There’s nothing that we could do.

I’m afraid I gotta let you go.

Can’t help wondering, what if I’m wrong?

After all, you’ve been good to me.

But my logic tells me that I can’t,

Even though my heart thinks we can.

I’m not sure I wanna let you go.

This can only lead to disaster.

I wish I could get over you faster.

Still I yearn,

Yearn to clash with you.

This can only lead to heartbreak.

I wanna avoid making that mistake.

Still I yearn,

Yearn to clash with you.

But, it might not lead to disaster!

You ask me out, I couldn’t say yes faster.

I wish I didn’t yearn,

Yearn to clash with you.
